MANO

Mano is 58 years old and was born on the island of PukaPuka, in the South Pacific. A fierce looking man who is surprisingly friendly and kind. He enjoys teaching and is a mentor to anyone willing to learn. The Sand Maru have elder leaders called Kupunas. Mano has been a Kupuna for over a dozen years and is one of the most respected on the island. As Kupuna, he mediates disputes, travels to neighboring islands, and makes treaties. Kupunas are easily identified by the string of sharp teeth they wear around their necks.

 

Mano is also a firm believer in the Purple Tiki. The Purple Tiki is a carved totem discovered on the island. It is said to watch over the Sand Maru and guide them. 

 

Mano has a gift for knowing things before others do. It's unknown if the information comes from his countless informants, exceptional hearing, or whispers from the Purple Tiki.
