It took me five months to write the first book, Gerard's Fortune.

I spent another two months going back over it and re-writing it.

My editor took another two months to clean it up and polish it.

It took me 5 weeks to learn how to format, upload, and self-publish through Amazon.

It was right about eleven months between writing the first page, and the day I published.

I was inspired by a friend of mine at a pirate festival. This friend encouraged me to create my character, their persona, and backstory. I started writing about the character named Gerard soon after that. The backstory grew from 10 pages, to 50, to 100. I did not know I was writing a book until I was halfway done with it.
